What's PayPal Package tracking?

PayPal's package tracking service is a feature exclusive to the PayPal app. It can provide live updates and notifications to track your shipments from the point of purchase to your door.

You can learn more about how we handle your package tracking data in the PayPal Privacy Statement. Here, you can also find out more about how data is used by PayPal and third-parties or customers who link their email account to track packages automatically using PayPal.

How does Package tracking comply with email provider policies?

Google: PayPal’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs for package tracking will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Outlook: PayPal’s use and transfer of information received from Microsoft APIs for package tracking will adhere to the Microsoft APIs Terms of Use policies.

How does Package tracking comply with the Google and Microsoft limited use requirements?

  • Humans are generally prohibited from reading data received from Google and Outlook API.
  • No advertising uses: data received from the Google API or Microsoft API isn’t shared with advertising platforms or data brokers or otherwise used for serving ads.
